New times

So excited to get the lightofspirit.co.uk website back up, it feels like reconnecting with an old friend. Like most gaps in connection, it takes some time to check out what has changed and what the news is.

Light of spirit has changed, it once was a website to promote my work with clients, now that’s crossed over to www.beckywalsh.com. Now light of spirit is a production company for spiritual and transformative theatre.

My first career was in theatre as a stage manager, I produced a few shows too. The reason why I got involved with theatre, was to give people en-mass that feeling of change when you have seen a performance. Energetically an audience connect with the feelings of the characters. As the sub-conscious mind doesn’t know the difference between imagination and reality a person can grow and learn when the performers are creating an amazing peace of emotive theatre. That is what I wanted to do. Yet a starry eyed young girl found that in order to live, small scale off the back of a truck touring isn’t going to pay the bills, so I fell into musicals and got stuck there until I shifted career and found I could give that feeling of transformation from intuitive insight.

Theatre has never left me, I created the ‘stand up psychic show’ and I continue to have fun with that. But whilst I took some study time out in San Francisco I reconnected with my love of theatre through a form of theatre called ‘Playback’. Whilst performing playback I could see how nicely it fit into intuition, as intuition could give insight into the story being told. So I expanded the form changing it to suit the work of transformation that I feel is needed in the world.
I also studied a form of double blind ‘family constellations’ and form myself in a situation of profound connection to spirit. ‘Family conciliations’ is a of physiotherapy that I believe has great transformation not only for the living but for the ancestors too. I have taken this and added new concepts to it.

I had often had a clash from old work to new work in regards to mediumship. Going to see a platform medium giving messages from the spirit world is one of those ‘shows’ where most the audience leave disappointed and (depending on the medium) its quite dull to watch. I also felt that it didn’t interface as much as I felt it should with love. Love is the connection between the person in the audience and the loved one they lost. Although evidence is important I don’t believe it is more important than love.
The events and forms on this website are about taking in mediumship and intuition into experimental forms. The idea is to bring healing, love, humour and community.

Right now I am looking for like minded mediums and intuitive minds to join me. In fact a lot of what is needed I can teach to the right person. With that in mind I am also looking for performers with an intuitive leaning. Grounded common sense is a major requirement. Classes and rehearsals are likely to be in Bristol, although a second London company may also be created.
This is an exciting and scary project, which I am well aware, will create some controversy, but then… when hasn’t my work done that!
