The melding of spirit

Spirit can be a voice, a knowing, a download of information, awareness of guidance. Spirit is a source of energy, a sensation, a state of being, a wise one.

To be able to comprehend Spirit we fill in the gaps with our mind to make the presence of spirit palatable to our ego, usually by giving them a physical form as a guide of some sort. Some people therefore experience Spirit in a human form, others as an element of nature, an animal or even extra-terrestrial.

Often, I hear people talk of guidance from their spirit guide, in terms of them being told to ‘do this’, ‘think that’, ‘give up this thing’, ‘change that’, and then being told off for not following the guidance if they don’t do it. I also hear of guides who apparently use the opportunity to reach beyond one person and out to another, in the form of ‘my guide is telling me to tell you XYZ’. I personally believe that is ego sub-personality and not spirit.  Spirit never interferes with your or anyone else’s free will. (****Arrow down for more on some PC’s)

Spirit always guides us toward what we need to experience, not necessarily what we want to experience – there’s a big difference. I used to believe that spirit was guiding me into the best things in life, but soon learned that spirit was actually guiding me into the lessons that would teach me to find love over fear. Some of those lessons were tough to deal with, but when you face your inner fears you come out stronger.

However I am forever curious, like a child that always has to ask why. Why would spirit choose to guide me into finding love over fear? One answer was because spirit also evolves by guiding us in this way, they also move closer to love. This was not a good enough answer for me, so the irritating child wanted to know why spirit (being non-physical), would need to find love as there is no ego (fear) in the spirit world.

The next level of understanding was to really know that there is in fact no separation, we are all one, and that unless we reach a tipping point in consciousness where enough people choose love over fear, we won’t become the loving oneness that is our true potential. The more converts to love spirit have the faster they, and we, all ‘go home’, otherwise known as not living in dualism of love and fear, but loving in its fullness.  At this point I could see spirit as one collective consciousness, one that we are also a part of in our consciousness. Of course not in our ego consciousness, but in our awareness, at the level of awareness we are all one, not just in the physical world, but also in the afterlife.

Those who are lost to us through death, are not lost, we know we carry them in our hearts and memories. However it is much deeper than that, we still travel with them at the level of the awareness. We don’t have to move on when someone dies, we have to move in a different way. Our dead loved ones travel with us, and us with them, at the level of the collective consciousness through the conduit that is love. They are in our hearts, through our hearts, and we are intertwined with them. Their physical form is no more but their presence is as vibrant as ever, and sometimes even more so. As we become more connected to the collective consciousness through opening our hearts, feeling rather than thinking and being open, so we can know our loved ones in a completely new way. Without hanging onto old physical identity through the ego, we can still feel the life presence.

All of this is also true for the evolution of our connection with spirit guides, which leads us to the evolution of human consciousness. My experience of this was during one of my curious moments, I asked where Spirit wanted me to be guided. I felt like my fingers had been plugged into the electric socket of life, I was connected to the oneness and it all fit into place. There was no separation between spirit and physical people at the level of the awareness.

During a vision quest, I spent a few hours with a guide I had known since childhood. I can’t remember him not being in my life, but for the past few years, I haven’t had a conversational connection with him. I have felt him being there, but I have received no ‘guidance’ from him in anyway. I realised consciously, that since by self-faith had grown, I no longer needed him as a security blanket for life or my work. He had taken a non-present form in my life. During this vision quest he was back and showing me some extraordinary things. I began to wonder if I had been wrong about the collective consciousness as here he was in the vision in my mind, back in human form. I asked him how this was possible. He smiled and showed me that he was a splinter of my own consciousness, and that I was a splinter of the whole consciousness. You could see this as being drops of water in a great ocean, but knowing that there are no drops, just one big ocean. With that he blended with me and I realised that we can have access to all that there is to know, when we are in the level of our awareness.

This is the collective consciousness. This is Spirit. You are an aspect of Spirit guiding humanity while you are guiding yourself through the obstacles of fear, trying your hardest to embrace love. You are the butterfly effect, affecting everything that you want to change by choosing how you agree to look at it. Which eyes you use, the eyes of Spirit or the eyes of Ego, is your choice, everything is a choice. You get to choose how you wish to guide humanity; your consciousness is at the helm of the ship. Your life plays out what you bring to the table in terms of your vision. You might not get to choose the incidentals of your story. Where you were born, the health of the body you were born into, but you do get to choose what you make it all mean. That is your part of the ship, your choices guide humanity, and in a small way that guides a much larger collective. Spirit doesn’t guide you, you guide Spirit and Spirit assists you in your purpose if it brings you closer to love and disregards anything related to fear, as fear doesn’t exist in Spirits being.

I know that often the responsibility of making our own decisions can feel too much. Believing that Spirit guidance is outside of you gives you a wonderful support. I wouldn’t want to take that support away from you. However knowing that you are part of the wisdom that is available, must perhaps allow you to see just want you have to offer to the state of humanity. This is your choice, if you choose love, you have no other option but to choose to be a shining light to guide people toward love, by your own example.
